AI studies

2022 to 2024

About the studies

I started bringing generative AI into design work as soon as the first tools appeared. I see it as a medium between a designer's mind and a palpable result, somewhere between the unexpected and the controlled, used on top of skilled 3D craft. Each series starts with a design question, goes through many iterations, and is edited down like a project.

Digital landscapes

Spaces for virtual worlds, not digital twins. A digital space needs no stair steps, mullions, door handles or chairs, so it deserves its own design language: more metaphorical, beautiful, and complementary to the real world, with new technology as an extension of traditional craft.

Digital spaces woven into nature: rain, cherry blossom, water. Places of digital encounter deserve the same care as real ones, because we already live in a phygital world.
